Allow your bot to be added to groups

A common problem is that your bot cannot be added to a group. This is due to a Telegram setting that blocks groups unless you specifically mention that you want to enable them.

In this article, we will show you how to allow your bot to be added to groups.

Step one: Open Telegram and Find @BotFather

Make sure there is a checkmark to the right of its name.

Step two: Open the /mybots menu and select your bot

You can either select it from the list, or type it yourself.

Step three: Select "Bot Settings", then "Allow Groups?"

Step four: Enable groups

Make sure that groups are enabled for your bot. If not, click on the "Turn groups on" button.
