It handles communication with potential members, generates payment links, and monitors membership status.

What can TGmembership do for me and my project?
TGmembership turns Telegram into a fully automated paid membership platform. The bot requests payments from your members, adds them to your chats when they pay and kicks them out if they don't renew. It also helps you get feedback, provides support when needed, while remaining anonymous and much more.

Do you offer a free trial or demo?
Although we don't offer a free tier or a trial period, we do offer a "test mode" where you can try out the platform without making any real payments or spending any money. Once you're ready to launch, you can choose our Pay As You Go plan, which charges only 7% on sales made through the bot. This allows you to explore the platform in production mode without incurring any costs until you start making sales. While this isn't a free or trial plan, it's a great way to get started with TGmembership. In addition to the "test mode" that lets you test your bot without making real payments, you can check the TGmembership Demo Bot to see how TGmembership works from a user's perspective.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Absolutely! With TGmembership, you have the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade your plan whenever you need to. Please keep in mind that if you have any outstanding balance, you will need to clear it before making any changes to your plan. For more details on this, you can refer to our billing page.
Are you affiliated with Telegram?
No. Whilst we are in love with Telegram and their values, we are not affiliated or supported by them.
What do I need to start a subscription business?
Getting started with TGmembership is quick and easy. All you need is a Telegram account, an idea, and a few free minutes. You don't need any technical knowledge or a website to use TGmembership.
Where do the membership fees go?
With TGmembership, the payments go directly to your account. Unlike other similar services, TGmembership doesn't process the funds received. Instead, it arranges the payment to the payment gateway and grants access to your members once confirmation is received. This approach gives you greater control over your income, security, and lower fees as no one except you and your customers have contact with the funds.
Will the bot notify me when a subscription is purchased?
Yes, whenever a subscription is purchased, renewed or cancelled, TGmembership will send a notification to all administrators. These notifications can either be sent privately to each administrator or to a support group if one has been set up.
What permissions does TGmembership need?
"Invite Users via Link" and "Ban Users" are the absolute minimum. For a more detailed explanation, check out our article on granting admin rights.
Can I use TGmembership for offline payments or payments made via methods unsupported by the bot?
Although TGmembership does not support offline payments or payment methods unsupported by the bot such as bank transfers or cash payments, you can still process payments manually and grant access to your users using Access Tokens.
What is an Access Token?
Access tokens are a convenient way to grant users access to your membership plans when you receive payments through methods that are not supported by TGmembership. Once you generate a token, you can share it with your members via text message or as a link. When a user enters the token or clicks the link, they will be granted access to the membership plan linked to that token, instantly and automatically.
Will my members receive renewal reminders?
By default, yes, unless their membership is set to automatically renew. TGmembership sends daily reminders to users when their membership is set to expire within three days. *Please note that exceptions may apply to plans with a duration of two days or less.
Can members have more than one active membership?
No. They can have only one membership at a time. Ordering a second membership will extend the end date of the first.
What is the broadcast option?
Broadcast allows you to send a private message to your users. You can select the audience for each broadcast - from users with existing memberships only, to those without, or to everyone who has ever interacted with your bot.
Do you have any content restrictions?
While we do not impose strict content restrictions, we have clear guidelines in place to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all users. Please refer to our Content Guidelines article for detailed information on the allowed content on our platform.
What countries is TGmembership available?
TGmembership has no geographical limitations and can be accessed from any country where Telegram is available.
Can users cancel their subscriptions themselves or do they need to contact an admin?
Absolutely! Users can cancel their recurring subscriptions directly from your bot by using the /membershipstatus command. They will see how much time is left until their membership expires, and they can cancel their subscription by clicking the cancellation button. It's important to note that canceling the recurring subscription does not terminate their current membership - they will remain in your premium chats until the end of the prepaid period. This process just ensures that they won't be charged again in the future. If they change their mind, they can always re-subscribe later on.
What happens if a recurring subscription renewal fails, for example due to insufficient funds, an expired card, or another reason?
Their subscription will be terminated immediately, and they will be removed from all your chats. There is no grace period, and the bot will not attempt to charge them again.
Do you offer support for multiple languages?

Can I integrate TGmembership with my websites?
We don't currently offer an out-of-the-box solution for integrating TGmembership with websites. However, we do provide API and Webhooks that allow our partners to build their own custom integrations. This means that if you have the necessary technical skills, you can create your own website integration.
Does TGmembership offer any analytics or reporting tools?
Yes, TGmembership offers a dashboard with analytics and reporting tools to help you track your revenue, subscribers, and other key metrics. Please refer to the analytics page for more information.

Why can't I change the price of my recurring plan?
Recurring plans serve as a contract between you and your users, and changing the price unilaterally can breach that agreement. To update the price of a recurring plan, we recommend disabling the current plan and creating a new one with the updated price.
