Enable Protected Content

Learn about Telegram's content protection feature, which helps prevent message forwarding and unauthorized access to media in private channels and groups, enhancing privacy.

In December 2021, Telegram has rolled out a new feature that allows users to protect their content. This feature ensures that the media you share on Telegram can only be accessed by the audience you initially intended it for.

When this feature is enabled, Telegram takes measures to prevent the forwarding of messages to other chats, as well as to prevent users from copying, taking screenshots, or downloading media and files to their device. This provides an additional layer of privacy for your chats.

To enable it, simply go to the Group or Channel Info page, navigate to Group / Channel Type, and turn on the "Restrict Saving Content" option.
